Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Review WIP reports to assess billable status and ensure policy compliance.
  • Manage end-to-end billing processes.
  • Handle trust account transactions including monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Provide coverage duty for ship sale closing procedures, including liaising with banks to obtain MT103, and facilitating transfers from clients' accounts to office accounts.
  • Maintain monthly breach register for trust accounts to ensure compliance with SRA and send quarterly updates to Partners.
  • Post disbursements accurately in line with Singapore GST and accounting standards.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register in Cognos, including asset additions, transfers, and disposals.
  • Prepare fixed asset reconciliations in accordance with Financial Reporting Standards (FRS).
  • Assist with month-end closing duties, including journal posting and maintaining monthly balance sheet schedules.
  • Support internal and external audit by consolidating required documentation to ensure compliance with internal controls and statutory obligations.
  • Undertake other ad-hoc duties as required by the organisation.
     

Desired Skills and Experience

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3-4 years of accounting experience; exposure from professional services, legal will be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with AP, billing, and audit processes; exposure to trust accounts will be advantageous.
  • High proficiency in Excel.
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and good time management.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Proactive mindset and critical thinking skill.
